Because little ones grow so rapidly, and because their needs change so drastically in a short period of time, the sleep support provided to a toddler is vastly different than that of a newborn. The same is true between older babies and newborns as well, and for that reason Sue has dreamt of highlighting the importance of truly providing individualized care at each stage for some time. Cue Sleep Training with Tender Care.
Drawing from her experience, Sue has found that dividing the first few years of life by age leads to great success as far as helping little ones learn to sleep independently is concerned. For that reason, newborn sleep conditioning support is offered to babies who are 12 weeks and younger. Sleep training is offered to babies who are at least 10 weeks old and meet certain milestones (remember, this is truly individualized care).
Sleep Training with Tender Care is a space dedicated to helping parents and families who have infants and toddlers that are struggling with sleep, whether that be at nap or nighttime. Here you’ll be provided with information, resources, techniques and plans that actually work and are tailored to your child. Tender Care Newborn Services will do just the same, but for newborns, so that they may begin their relationship with sleep safely and peacefully while also focusing on specific newborns needs, such as nighttime feedings.
Most recently, Sue has completed the Center for Pediatric Development certification (2022). Additionally, in 2021 Sue completed the Sleep Consultant Certification and was listed as one of Tuck’s Best Sleep Consultants in the United States! While Sue’s training spans more than a decade the experience and wisdom she has gained helping well over 500 families has given her the most knowledge and insight. She truly has seen it all!
Due to Sue's extensive knowledge about, and success with, overnight and nap training, she was invited to contribute to Jayne Havens' in-depth course for sleep consultants, Center for Pediatric Sleep Management Sleep Consultants, on the topic of naps. Sue has even been featured on Jayne's podcast!
